Reminisce

Yesterday I had out of an impulse sent two poems to Adorernauka - a bengali little magazine of North Calcutta- for their consideration and if found good then publishing. I was a lover of poetry as a literary Genre. And once upon a time I was, mayI take the liberty of saying prolific penner of poetry. I would pen down at least one poem everyother day. So much so that it had become sort of a habit. Not all of them were necessarily what would be considered as poetry, but nevertheless I would pen down those lines. And even today some of them has the elements of poetry in it to make me feel good. These daysI occassionally write. AndI had sent one of those old ones and a recent one to them for consideration.I do not know whether they would respond or not, but if they do I would once again be enthralled about what I had and want to possibly revive as feeling.
The saying goes that the key to healthy feelings in life, that is so essential to remain oneself whatever that stands for, is to be able to relive the best of oneself and not necessarily by living in the past but bringing good elements of past in the present in order to make the present more cheerful and glowing. Creativity is the key. Reminisce and create and recreate.
I would prefer to be able recreate and bring in the that glow in terms of having tried and see what fruit they bear.
I cannot resist the impulse of penning two three of my recent lines -bengali poems in english script - constrained as I am by the framework of this portal which does not have Bangla script :
" Jantronar Aagune Poore Poore / Jantranar Chayaey Ghoore Ghoore / Anandoke Phire Phire Paowa / Soonyataye Baas noye, Soonyataar Theke Uttaran/ Seyoto Jiban Dharma / Bhenge Jodi Gore Nite Chao / Nijeke Jantrona Dao ---/"
Translated into English it would sound something like this -
" Burn thyself in the blue throbbing fire of anguish/ and roam around in the halo and aura of that fire/ to Relive the delightful bliss of happiness / for the key is not continue living in the unoccupied purposeless emptiness / but to get over and grow out of it/ For that is what life demands"
Sounds like being a Thor Haeyardahl - one of the most fearless explorers of modern world , riding his Kontiki to his purposeful salvation. Well Life is no less a stormy journey for some.
